Holiday Gift Ideas
With Christmas just around the corner, I thought I would share with you a few noteworthy children’s gifts and books I came across recently. Just a few… An Awesome Book!  ”An Awesome Book is a children’s book written and illustrated by Dallas Clayton. The book advises us to dream big – huge even – and is filled with fantastically bright images that twist and turn, and cover...

Leave The Bourbon On The Shelf...
my wife is in atlanta or, “hotlanta” if you’ve got your finger on the pulse of tragically popular hip-hop. she asked that in her absence i pollenate her blog with several of my priceless quips. i reluctantly agreed. if there’s one thing i hate, it’s being the center of attention. (that was the first of said quips) when i learned she only wanted me for my unmatched...

Look who learned to crawl this past weekend!!! Annnddddd……he’s off!!! It’s funny how we spent weeks encouraging and cheering him on in hopes that he would figure this out. Now, all I can think about is how to make it stop. Time is passing too quickly. Our baby is becoming less and less a baby every day. If someone would have told me years ago that my heart would grow arms...

Dear Villain
Last night, when I came home from work, I beat Brad home and apparently walked in on two men trying to break in our home. I will spare you the details but apparently they had used our trashcan to jump our fence and they were in the back yard looking in at me. Little did I know but there were four other break-ins in the neighborhood that morning! Needless to say it was a long night for us. After...

Promises
Several weeks ago an old highschool friend sent me a sweet message telling me how much she has enjoyed reading this blog. She told me how I “always seemed to have it together”, and reading about my life and family even further confirmed this for her. I responded by thanking her, but I was also quick to point out how wrong she was….I don’t have it all together. Since that day, I have frequently...

The Bestest
Tonight I spent a good 3 hours preparing Dyce’s babyfood for the next (hopefully) two weeks. Hopefully-because it’s a new recipe and I pray he likes it enough to finish what I made. Lentils, carrots, tofu, and a little garlic. Not bad. Brad was busy watching Monday night football so I had the kitchen to myself…and my thoughts. I began thinking about how I have always hated to...

Thankful Thursday
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and (hopefully) a few days off work to spend with family and friends. It was beyond nice to be able to spend four straight days with my loves. Dyce is fast approaching the 8 month mark and it is fascinating to watch the things he learns each day. He has started army crawling all over the place and is pulling himself up as well. We can barely keep up! ...

Rewind and Recap
Lately I’ve realized that I have neglected to highlight a few important events that took place over the past couple of months. I think I hoped I would be able to create a fitting post for each….but here I am months later and obviously that didn’t happen. So, I thought I would show you a few snapshots from each function… Our dear friends, Allen and Amanda, got married. Not...

Good Morning Gorgeous
Perhaps you’ve underestimated my cleverness, my sneakiness. Perhaps you underestimated my intuition, my ability to guess your password. Or, perhaps you simply left your tumblr account logged in on our computer. Either way, I can read you like a book. A tall, slim, beautiful book. Today we celebrate your first breath. Today we celebrate your failures and your successes, none greater than...

CamWow!!!
This is pretty much what many of our weekend nights consist of these days. We exchange CamWow shots with Brandon and Claire - always trying to top the other. Here are a few of my favorites… Have you CamWowed yourself yet?! Happy Thursday! jenn

Tonight my husband gave me an early Birthday present. Somehow he knew just what I needed. Needless to say, this was the best birthday gift I have ever received. He wrote this song and recorded it on our home computer. Thank God for my music man….and the Dangerous little boy we made. This is what it’s all about, and just when I think it couldn’t get any better….it does!
