The Beach, According To Dyce...
Have you ever taken a toddler to the beach? In their mind it sounds a little something like this:
Woah…sand!!!!! What in the world’s this stuff…it falls right through my fingers? Let me taste it. Gross! MOM…DAD…ANYBODY…get this stuff out of my mouth! Now it’s stuck to my hands. Now my face itches. ACHOO!!! Let me wipe this snot off my face. Ughhhh….I forgot about my hands! MOM!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend!
This weekend we took Dyce on his first trip to the beach! Amanda’s parents have a beautiful place on Seabrook Island and she and Jimmy invited Brad, Dyce, Claire, Brandon and me to spend the weekend with them. It was beautiful weather virtually the entire trip!
Before I share some of our photos, I must confess that when I unpacked our camera and cut it on, the four little words staring back...
Hello, Strangers.
So….I took a little break. It was nice and very much needed.
After witnessing a lot of hate throughout social media during the May 8th Amendment 1 vote, I decided I needed to step away for a bit. Breathe. Enjoy my family and not put so much pressure on myself to blog, especially after I began to question whether or not I wanted to continue doing this.
God forbid someone not agree with something I...

STEP it out against MS
This weekend our dear friend, Ben, held the 1st annual ‘STEP it out against MS’ charity golf tournament. The tournament had over 60 players and raised $4,110.00 for the National MS Society! You can read more about the tournament and see more images from the day over on Stephanie’s blog!
Dyce didn’t last long but here are a few pictures I managed to snap with my camera (and by camera I...

With Love, From Dyce and Brad
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day.
I wanted to share the beautiful gift my husband and Dyce got for me! Brad managed to enlist the help of our friend, Geoff, to create this beautiful video.
I have probably watched it close to 50 times already….and cry every time.
Hope you enjoy it too…

Motherhood.
Sometimes it’s a quiet lunch alone…
Sometimes it’s an afternoon at a golf tournament with my love…
Sometimes it’s celebrating with friends…
Most of the time it’s this…
Correction. The best of times it’s that.

Backseat Meltdown
Here’s the thing…..this happened. It did. My kid had a meltdown in the back seat and I was that mom taking pictures of it while sitting at a stop light.
It only got worse when I turned around and tried soothing him so I thought ignoring him would work. He would eventually wear himself out, right?
Nope.
10 minutes passed and tears were streaming down his face. I got out his report from daycare...

Love On The 5th of Mayo!!!
Sorry for my absence the past week or so. I had mentioned that we were preparing for Brandon and Claire’s Cinco de Mayo engagement party and it required a lot of time on my part. I am slightly OCD when it comes to party planning (you can ask my poor husband)!
I wanted to share a few pictures with you from the night. Unfortunately, it was hard to take all the pictures I wanted and still...

So Much LOVE
Things have been CRAZY around here with all the planning for Brandon and Claire’s Cinco de Mayo engagement party! Our entire house is covered with boxes of fun props and decorations and I can’t wait to share how it all turns out!
With all the commotion going on I forgot to share some really great news! As I have mentioned, my husband is the singer in s.o.stereo. and the band members...

The Day He Defeated Bedtime
I thought he was ready for bed so I brushed his teeth, he kissed daddy goodnight and I took him into his room. I sat holding him, chest to chest, and his head rested on my shoulder as I rocked him. I sang our songs, like I do every night. The room was dark so I closed my eyes as I thought to myself what a terrible singer I am. Off key. Pitchy.
Thank God that my child doesn’t know this...
