"Razzle"?
Please don’t be grossed out by this picture….Brad happened to snap it at JUST the right moment when Rya decided to love on Dyce a little!
I think they both enjoyed it!
Brad and I have had many conversations when we would discuss what we thought Dyce’s first word would be.
We want it to be something that comes naturally for him so we have not been coaxing him to say anything...

2011 - A Year to Remember
2011 was certainly the MOST amazing year! Never did I think that my entire outlook on life could change within a few short months. I am looking forward to many more amazing memories to come, but I thought I would take a few minutes to share some of my favorite moments from this year….
New Years Eve 2011….I was over 6 months pregnant and got a speeding ticket this night and got to be...

The Magic of Christmas (part 1)....
Our Christmas this year was pure perfection and being able to watch Dyce was almost magical!
I think Brad and I both agreed that this was by far the greatest Christmas we have ever had.
Please enjoy a few highlights from the weekend…
We always celebrate Christmas Eve at my parents house with my brother, sister and their families…
There are 7 grandchildren between the three of us...

Late.
Some days I am late for work.
Correction…
Most days I am late for work.
When I am caught by my boss, I always give the same excuse.
“The Baby.”
He gives me an understanding nod and then we go about our day.
I suppose I could be more specific, but he doesn’t require an explanation. The truth is, yes, the baby did make me late, but not for the reasons one would...

If It's Good Enough for Jesus....
Sorry it has been so quiet around here the past few days. Things have been busy with all the Christmas preparations, a full work load, a vehicle that has a mind of its own and a little boy who seems to be getting into EVERYTHING! :)
I have been asked several times what special things we have planned for Dyce this year and I wanted to let you all know about a tradition we will be starting and...

Dixie Peaches
I was so excited when I received a package in the mail recently from Dixie Peaches Couture!!
Dixie Peaches is family owned and operated with each piece designed, printed, and packaged in Athens, Georgia. I have always been a huge supporter of local businesses, but Dixie Peaches is a particular favorite as it is the product of a dear friend’s creativity and hard work.
The simple graphic...

GNO
This weekend the girls and I got together for GNO (Girls Night Out). It was a lovely night filled with fantastic food and lots of vino! A big thanks to all the husbands who were on daddy duty for the night.
It had been far too long since we had all gotten together and there was a lot to celebrate….babies, more babies, and birthdays!
After we did a bit of catching up at...

Leave The Bourbon On The Shelf...
my wife is in atlanta or, “hotlanta” if you’ve got your finger on the pulse of tragically popular hip-hop. she asked that in her absence i pollenate her blog with several of my priceless quips. i reluctantly agreed. if there’s one thing i hate, it’s being the center of attention. (that was the first of said quips)
when i learned she only wanted me for my unmatched...

Look who learned to crawl this past weekend!!! Annnddddd……he’s off!!!
It’s funny how we spent weeks encouraging and cheering him on in hopes that he would figure this out. Now, all I can think about is how to make it stop. Time is passing too quickly. Our baby is becoming less and less a baby every day.
If someone would have told me years ago that my heart would grow arms...

Dear Villain
Last night, when I came home from work, I beat Brad home and apparently walked in on two men trying to break in our home. I will spare you the details but apparently they had used our trashcan to jump our fence and they were in the back yard looking in at me. Little did I know but there were four other break-ins in the neighborhood that morning!
Needless to say it was a long night for us. After...

Promises
Several weeks ago an old highschool friend sent me a sweet message telling me how much she has enjoyed reading this blog. She told me how I “always seemed to have it together”, and reading about my life and family even further confirmed this for her. I responded by thanking her, but I was also quick to point out how wrong she was….I don’t have it all together.
Since that day, I have frequently...
